Boca Raton Museum of Art
Comprised of sleek and bright white surfaces with the hint of brilliant, popping colors, the Museum Store at the Boca Raton Museum of Art was a joyous and collaborative project. Designed by R & R Studio, the shop includes a massive shelving unit, display cases, cabinetry, and display tables. Surface Workshop was responsible for the millwork and premium lacquer finishes, and assisted the designers with value engineering to meet the project’s budget. The large shelving unit features integrated LED lighting and vertical panels with a pattern of custom color accents only visible on the right side. This hint of brilliant color is complemented by the white display tables, whose legs are seemingly dipped in blue paint. The exceptional quality of the white lacquer becomes especially apparent with the playful accents of blue, red, green and yellow seen throughout the store.
